A wheatpaste mural for Facebook's Washington, D.C. office space.
Early iterations lived too close to Facebook’s global brand guidelines, leaving our DC client feeling like we were missing the opportunity to share their distinct perspective.
After resetting, my goal was to veer off of the path a bit by exploring Facebook's scrappy ethos and quirky value statements set against historic U.S. campaign ephemera. The outcome was unique to D.C. while being firmly on-brand.
Typefaces sourced from political campaigns and halftone imagery were juxtaposed against vibrant colors for a result that balances a fresh point of view with nostalgia.
